7' HMHS Britannic Model
Here is a seven foot rendition of the HMHS Britannic designed in LDD. The Britannic was Titanic's younger sister, in her short lifetime she never did any passenger service, instead she was conscripted into the war effort of the first world war, serving as an hospital ship. She sunk in the fall of 2016 in roughly 40 minutes after hitting a mine.
This LEGO rendering of the Titanic is 7.3 feet long [7'4" / 2.24M / 280 studs longs / 28 studs wide], and contains a total of over 9,000 bricks. This model was built from my Titanic model, but it is more than a simple re-skin other improvements or changes were made to the ship to make it the most accurate LEGO Britannic I have ever designed. The shape of the bow was worked on slightly giving it in my opinion a more natural shape. The windows for B-Deck have been completely redone, so if you were to compare it with how it is on the Titanic model, you'll find that they do not match. And of course Britannic specific things were added to the model, such as the giant gantry davits, and the reworked aft poop deck area.
